especially throughout pledging. brotherhood is something that im coming to understand and truly value. 

the old me would have rejected any displays of emotion, especially the unexpected or uncontrollable ones. but i find myself embracing sympathy and highlighting it as a strength, not a weakness. 

and in this one aspect, college so far has made me a stronger, hopefully better, person.
